Bodog

Bodog.eu is a nice-looking Canadian cousin of Bovada. It's one of the better offshore options, if you live in Canada, and are looking for something that has little concept of setting boundaries on betting limits.

Started in 1994 by Calvin Ayre, a stout-faced, earring-loving Canadian billionaire, who still has enough hair on his head, and an abundant charisma to star in a medium-budget Hollywood movie. As a villian, or as a hero? My ballot would be on the former. He's got that I-am-smart-and-worldly, and I-can-be-a-bad*ss-when-the-situation-calls-for-it demeanour to him.

Along with its conjoined twin, Bovada, both accept new bettors from a very small, highly preferential number of countries. In fact, I would be surprised, if Bodog does take bettors from anywhere else other than Canada.

I ain't too sure, but I think they only accept Canadians, at the moment. I could be wrong. Probably am?

Either way, why should anyone go for them? Why is Bodog fun to be with?

Anyone who has ever bet online; and has been doing it in the past decade, or more, knows how good of an offshore betting site Bodog, really is.

And, it isn't a newbie, either. It's been around since the mid-90s. Some say, its history goes all the way back to 1994.

Right, my job here is to convince you that Bodog is indeed a legit site, despite having no credible regulator backing it up. Well, not entirely true, it does have a license in Antigua, but you know what I mean.

It has built its reputation and trust, just through its dealings, as an honest bookmaker. Over the years, this has only solidified further.

Let's quickly go over the rest of what it has to offer.

It has partnerships with more-than-decent software providers. Names like Betsoft, Rival, Genesis etc., just to jot down a few.

So, you can definitely bet live on Ice Hockey, Basketball, Soccer. Bet on horses, if you wish, or play esports. Your choice.

They also got slots with progressive jackpots attached. Your standard blackjack, roulette tables, and of course poker rooms that attract the best players.

Customer support is more than average. They seem to have outsourced it to the Philippines.

Darn, that was supposed to be a secret. Ah, well...

But in all seriousness, you can talk to them live on chat, through phone, or a simple email. They should, and do respond, fast enough.

Being crypto lovers, Bodog prefers Bitcoin deposits (min. is only $10), but you can also use credit cards (min. $20), direct bank transfers etc. There's plenty of tasty promotions; can go up to 100% of one's initial deposit amount.

Payouts are processed, at a reasonable pace (few days). KYC is there, but not too complicated. You can opt for crypto or bank checks.

There's nothing more I can add about Bodog.eu.

A lot has already been written about them. I can't add a special flavor, unfortunately.

Oh yes, if you're looking for an offshore alternative to Bodog, the only other half-decent site, I can recommend is BetOnline.

But, you didn't come here for that. Did you...
