DraftKings
What can a 20-something, gambling affiliate marketer sitting in his bedroom-cum-office, or inside a medially decorated cubicle, write about a publicly traded company like DraftKings, that isn't open information. Everything there's to know about this sports fantasy app, and now a regulated sportsbook, is already known.
Which is why, even penning this page down, well, doesn't make correhent sense. So, why am I - doing it? Ok, first this is a place that schools potentials on the politics of online gambling sites. Second, it's my job. And third, DraftKings being the jim-dandy elephant in the room, can't be willingly snubbed, simply because, it along with its bro-competitors like FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, Pointsbet and bet365 dominate the legal sports betting market in the United States.
I'll try - can't promise - to lower the duplication quotient, wherever possible.
Reddit users seem to like this brand. I noticed all the negative stories relating to frozen accounts and bonus voidance were quite ardently fought off by other DraftKing customers, who blamed the OP for the problem. One thing that stuck out its head, was DraftKings being the favorite for slots and fantasy sports, BetMGM being great for live casino and FanDuel, a near-perfect platform for sports betting. Nice gust of fresh air, because Redditors are globally known to be brutal on reviewing brands. DraftKings does seem to be doing something very right, consistently, to have made it to their approval list.
TrustPilot is the polar opposite, however. The hate is solid as a rock. Before we move further, DraftKings needs to fire their entire PR team, each and every employee in that department, for doing a mind-blowingly appalling job of, not caring. How's this even possible for a company this size, needs investigating. There're some very genuine concerns on there, and minus DraftKing's attention, their customers have no place but TrustPilot to vent out their frustration. Quibbles around nulled winnings, locked accounts, bonus-rule breaches, basically the daily customer service dilly dallies, that shouldn't require hiring of rocket scientists to get'em sorted.
I'm no one to tell DraftKings on how to run their business, but most of the issues head back to the rather abusive use of their bonus. Americans for whatever reason can't seem to have enough of $200 in free money, that it doles out, as long as a person punts $5. Even if one crosses the hurdles of the rollover wagering minimums, chances of getting paid jackpot-sized cash are close to nil.
Right, let's dig in a little further, if you're still here.
It's legal in every State, where sports betting is allowed. Has all the license permits, all the official badges, all the security clearances. So, asking questions like if it's legal or legit, is frankly naive. But still expected, if one's new to the online world of gambling.
Starting in 2011 as a Daily Fantasy Sports site and ending up as an online legal sportsbook and casino, it's come a long way. Its sometimes-rival, sometimes-friend FanDuel has a similar story to tell.
All kinds of sports can be bet on its platform. NBA, NFL, MLB, Golf, Tennis, UFC, you can put whatever name here and they'll have decent odds for it. Parlay betting options at DraftKings are as common as a McDonald's restaurant. Their casino is partnered up with names like NetEnt, Evolution and Red Tiger Gaming, that have huge extensive libraries of slot games, and inimitable live casino studio rooms serving tens of millions of players.
Customer service-wise, DraftKings is a mixed-bag, predictably so. Providing fast customer support to millions of monthly active users, over phone, is not cost-effective. And, precisely for this reason, it's an area, where offshore betting sites have found their edge, giving both DraftKings and FanDuel a run for their money. As for support, expect procrastination-powered responses expanding over several days to weeks. And email form on their website is the only lame single way to get a hold of them. FAQ doesn't help further, other than clearing up a few basics, for extreme newbies.
Most people almost always access DraftKings through an app. Being fully legal, its app can be downloaded from both Google Play and Apple's App Store. Its practical functionality is better than a lot of what's already out there, so it does get graded highly by its users. The thing that stands out in their app is in-play live betting, attached with an untroubled ability to open multi-legged, complicated parlays and props.
Deposits can be made through credit and debit cards, bank transfers, e-wallets like PayPal, echecks and even their own prepaid DraftKings Play+ Card. Withdrawals, once the account is duly verified, are processed within a day. More time may be required for approvals of larger wins.
DraftKings generates billions of dollars a year in revenue from millions of bettors through its platform. The company of this size and dominance doesn't need the input of a small-time, nobody blogger-cum-wannabe, like me, or for that matter anyone else, to remain long-lastingly relevant to a vast constituency of gambling-hungry Americans.

A word from the author:
To make this review fair, transparent and to remove any sponsorship bias, I allocated anywhere between $500 (for casual betting) to $25,000 (for evaluating the quality of the high-roller gambling services) out of my own pocket for testing the browser-based platform and the app (where available) of this betting site.
- This money was spent on online casino games and sports betting, depending on what the place is primarily known for. For example, certain brands only cater to slots, while others are predominantly sportsbooks.
- My tests involved all the processes, such as initial deposit and accepting welcome bonuses, KYC, an actual experience of playing the games, and finally withdrawing my winnings, if any.
